Job Description
We’re seeking a Participant Engagement Specialist to join a retirement services team in a client-facing role focused on educating employees about retirement savings and investment options. This position will conduct one-on-one and group education meetings, assist participants with retirement account setup and rollovers, and support broader team initiatives and projects. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and presentation skills, a service-oriented mindset, the ability to connect with diverse audiences, and an interest in financial services or retirement planning. Spanish language skills are preferred but not required. The role requires approximately 30% travel and offers the opportunity to grow within a collaborative, professional environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Educate participants on retirement savings and investment options through one-on-one meetings.
  • Conduct group retirement education meetings, both virtually and in person.
  • Assist participants with retirement account setup, online access, and rollovers from previous plans.
  • Follow up with participants and plan sponsors on outstanding service needs.
  • Support Retirement Counselors with campaign planning, coordination, and scheduling.
  • Manage assigned team responsibilities and contribute to department projects and new initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of participant interactions.
  • Assist with developing team training materials and resources.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to department strategy and process improvement.
  • Travel to client locations as needed, approximately 30% of the time.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1–2+ years of experience in a related field; financial services or retirement industry experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain financial and retirement concepts clearly to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong customer service mindset and willingness to take initiative.
  • Comfortable working with participants one-on-one and in group settings.
  • Ability to learn new products, processes, and systems quickly.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable with regular business travel, approximately 30%.
  • Spanish proficiency preferred, but not required.

The base pay range for this position is $$65,000 - $80,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
