Position Summary
This role supports basic production operations, including loading solid metal materials into machinery, operating equipment, and feeding material into a crusher for processing. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working around powdered metals while consistently following required PPE and respiratory protection guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Load solid metal materials and carbon blocks into production equipment for processing.
- Operate basic production machinery by loading materials, starting equipment, and monitoring the process to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Break down larger metal pieces or blocks into smaller, manageable sections as needed.
- Feed material into a crusher to reduce pieces to the required size for further processing.
- Safely handle, move, and organize powdered metals and other production materials within the work area.
- Follow supervisor instructions, work procedures, and all required safety guidelines throughout each shift.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while properly wearing required PPE, including a respirator or mask, gloves, and other protective equipment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work the assigned Monday–Friday schedule consistently.
- Must be comfortable working in an industrial production environment around powdered metals, metal materials, and related production processes.
- Must be able to safely lift, move, load, and handle production materials as required throughout the shift.
- Must be willing and able to wear all required PPE, including a respirator or mask, gloves, protective clothing, and safety footwear.
- Previous experience in production, manufacturing, machine operation, warehouse, or general labor is preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, maintain a clean work area, and work safely as part of a team.
- Spanish-speaking ability is a plus.
Employment Type & Compensation
- This is a Full-Time | Temp.
- Pay rate is $17 per hour, based on experience
- Application Window: Open until filled
Work Schedule
- 1st Shift: 5:45 AM -2:15 PM
