Role SynopsisBuyer I uses ERP system to issue and maintain turnkey, subcontract and raw material purchase orders. Role requires buyer to buy only from approved suppliers with confirmed relevant capability. Buyer will also be expected to buy non-production goods and services from approved suppliers in support of facility requirements. Reasonable accommodation(s) may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Understand and follow all policies and procedures for execution of their daily tasks, inclusive of all aspects related to ethics & compliance and adherence to all laws of countries in which Gilmore operates.Ensure that creation of POs is done in a timely manner (24 hours or less to convert requisitions) and that past due backlog does not originate due to poor response time.Act in accordance with their relevant Procurement strategies, and that any and all contracts are adhered to without exception, unless specific approval is requested for mitigating circumstances. Assists in creation and adherence to procurement strategies for parts, commodities and suppliersQuotes planned purchase orders to approved suppliers for evaluation, selection, order placements, delivery updates, order accuracy and order status.Processes subcontract purchase orders for services that support manufacturing of product on open work orders.Selects suppliers based on their ability to provide best over-all cost based on Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.Managing their open orders to ensure on time delivery, including mitigating late deliveries with suppliers when the suppliers are the cause of any delay.Managing the delivery dates for all open orders in the system, thus allowing the business to plan throughput accordingly to ultimately meet customer expectations.Exhibit professional behavior towards both internal stakeholders and customers (projects, manufacturing / operations) and the supply base.Buyers may be also asked to participate in project review meetings to provide specific updates to internal stakeholders regarding open POs related to these projects.Managing the supply base relationships in assigned scope of work and facilitates discussions with key internal stakeholders. Shows mature and professional behavior with external suppliers and internal customers/stakeholders.Understanding supply base risks in assigned scope of work.Work cross-functionally to execute strategy and deliver cost out, increase quality and reduce lead-times.Converts requisitions for non-production items or services into purchase orders.Perform other work-related tasks, as assigned.
