Early Childhood - Teacher Assistant/Aide

The Teacher Assistant will contribute to a nurturing environment by supporting Teachers and the Director in creating a safe and caring atmosphere for children. S/he will collaborate with the team to enhance the overall quality of education and care. The role involves assisting staff in implementing a quality educational program, fostering positive relationships with children and their parents, and communicating children's progress and interests to staff and parents. Under the guidance of the Teacher and Director, the Teacher Assistant will design activities tailored to children's needs and interests.

• Encourage children's participation in curricula activities and ensure they have a positive experience.
• Participate in activities, maintain a clean and organized classroom, and ensure materials are readily available.
• Communicate regularly with parents through informal discussions and progress updates.
• Model good hygiene and self-help skills for children.
• Facilitate a smooth transition for children from home to the child care center.
• Comply with all center policies and state regulations.
• Maintain a personal professional development plan to enhance skills and knowledge.

• Must have 1-2 years of professional child care experience.
• High energy and enthusiasm for working with children.
• Able to build strong relationships with colleagues.
• Effective oral and written communication skills and basic computer literacy.
• Understanding of child development principles.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check and health screening.
