Position Summary: The safe and efficient operation of powder coat painting equipment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environmentIdentify and report safety concerns to the Paint Line LeaderIdentify and report maintenance needs to the Paint Line LeaderWork with Quality personnel to monitor quality of product being painted and respond accordinglyStart up and shut down all equipment each dayInterpret workorders and drawings to determine paint requirementsOperate and maintain the powder coat booth and gun(s) in order to achieve optimum paint qualityWork with Paint Line Leader to optimize line speed while maintaining qualityTest and maintain proper chemical and Ph levels in wash tanksClean wash tanks as requiredMaintain records of water usage and Ph levels in holding tankMaintain records of paint being used per jobSubmit weekly powder inventory to Purchasing personnelMaintain a good attendance recordOther duties may be assignedQualifications: Strong mechanical aptitude, Understanding of powder coat painting processesGood communication in a team environment as well as critical thinking skills. Must be goal oriented in order to achieve daily production targets.Education and/or Experience: High School diploma preferred2 years of experience in powder coat paintingLanguage/Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate and work with team members in a bilingual environment (with the use of an interpreter as needed)Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
