Substitute Teacher / Classroom Assistant (Per Diem)

Looking for a flexible, rewarding role working with children? Illuminate Montessori is seeking warm, dependable, and adaptable Substitute Teachers / Classroom Assistants to join our team on an as-needed/per diem basis.

• Anyone passionate about working with children in a calm, respectful Montessori environment

• Monday–Friday between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• 5–40 hours/week depending on school needs and your availability
• Flexible scheduling with opportunities for half days, full days, and last-minute coverage

• Support children in Toddler and Preschool/Kindergarten classrooms
• Assist teachers with routines, supervision, meals, outdoor time, and classroom organization
• Maintain a warm, safe, calm, and engaging environment
• Help support smooth classroom transitions and daily operations

• Childcare or education experience preferred but not required
• Montessori experience is a plus, but we will train the right candidate
• Reliable, positive, flexible, and team-oriented
• Comfortable working with young children in a fast-paced environment
