Key Responsibilities

- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport raw materials, tools, and finished parts using manual labor, forklifts, or overhead cranes.
- Part Preparation: Use hand and power tools—such as grinders, sanders, and buffers—to prep metal, smooth out rough edges, and remove rust.
- Machine Support: Assist welders and machine operators (e.g., press brakes or shears) by holding materials, positioning parts, and marking reference points.
- Shop Maintenance: Maintain shop floor organization and safety by sweeping debris, clearing scrap metal, and properly storing equipment.
- Quality Assurance: Verify parts meet basic specifications using tape measures, calipers, and gauges.
Qualifications & Requirements

- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts, bend, and regularly lift/move heavy metal materials.
- Basic Skills: Proficiency in basic shop math and the ability to accurately read a tape measure and calipers.
- Tool Familiarity: Comfort using hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Strong adherence to OSHA regulations, including the proper use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Work Ethic: Reliability, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn trade skills from senior workers
