Key Responsibilities
- Establish a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth in children
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curricula and activities that cater to diverse learning styles and promote creative thinking
- Maintain accurate records of child progress and communicate effectively with parents to ensure seamless collaboration
- Cultivate positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a cohesive and inclusive learning community
- Conduct regular classroom cleanups and organization to ensure a clutter-free and focused learning space
Requirements
Qualifications
- Experience working with toddlers aged 18 month to 36 months
- Understanding of child well-being and development best practices
- Ability to educate and engage young learners in a classroom setting
- Previous Lead Teacher role or relevant experience
- Knowledge of Creative Curriculum
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working with children aged 18 months to 36 months in a licensed child care setting
- CPR and First Aid certification
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, such as an Associate's degree in ECE or a CDA in Infants and Toddlers
- Previous experience working in a state-licensed child care center in New Jersey
