About This Role

We are currently looking for a dynamic and experienced Lead Teacher to join our educational community, fostering a stimulating environment that nurtures young minds and promotes lifelong learning. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering age-appropriate curricula, establishing a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere, and maintaining open communication with parents. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about education, dedicated to the growth and well-being of young learners, and committed to collaboration and teamwork.



What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth in children
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate curricula and activities that cater to diverse learning styles and promote creative thinking
  • Maintain accurate records of child progress and communicate effectively with parents to ensure seamless collaboration
  • Cultivate positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a cohesive and inclusive learning community
  • Conduct regular classroom cleanups and organization to ensure a clutter-free and focused learning space


Requirements

Qualifications

  • Experience working with toddlers aged 18 month to 36 months
  • Understanding of child well-being and development best practices
  • Ability to educate and engage young learners in a classroom setting
  • Previous Lead Teacher role or relevant experience
  • Knowledge of Creative Curriculum
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues


Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with children aged 18 months to 36 months in a licensed child care setting
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, such as an Associate's degree in ECE or a CDA in Infants and Toddlers
  • Previous experience working in a state-licensed child care center in New Jersey
