Department: Justice Integration / OutreachReports To: Director of Operations or Justice Integration Program SupervisorEmployment Status: Full‑TimeFLSA Status: Non‑Exempt (unless otherwise designated)Location: Phoenix, AZPosition SummaryThe Justice Liaison serves as the primary point of contact between Sanctuary Recovery Centers and justice system partners, including courts, probation, parole, and reentry programs. This role is responsible for strengthening referral relationships, supporting client compliance with justice‑involved requirements, and coordinating services that promote treatment engagement, stability, and reduced recidivism for justice‑involved individuals.The Justice Liaison acts as a structured bridge between justice systems, treatment teams, and community resources to ensure clear communication, accountability, and continuity of care.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary liaison between Sanctuary Recovery Centers and justice system partners, including courts, probation officers, parole officers, specialty courts, and diversion programsMaintain regular communication with justice partners regarding referrals, participant progress, compliance issues, and program requirementsSupport justice‑involved clients in understanding and complying with court‑ordered or program‑required conditionsCoordinate with internal clinical teams, case management, and peer support staff to align treatment services with justice system expectationsAssist in intake coordination and referral processing for justice‑involved clients entering servicesProvide structured support and advocacy to reduce barriers related to housing, employment, transportation, and treatment engagementDocument all interactions, referrals, and coordination activities accurately and timely in required systemsParticipate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case staffing, and justice‑focused program planningRepresent Sanctuary Recovery Centers at justice system meetings, outreach events, and community collaborations as assignedMaintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, ADHS, and organizational policiesPerform other related duties as assigned to support justice integration initiativesQualificationsRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree or higher preferredExperience working with justice‑involved populations, behavioral health, addiction treatment, or reentry servicesStrong knowledge of court systems, probation/parole processes, or justice‑involved service coordinationExcellent communication, organization, and follow‑through skillsAbility to build and maintain professional relationships with external partnersStrong documentation and time‑management skillsAbility to maintain professional boundaries and confidentialityPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Behavioral Health, or related fieldExperience in a liaison, outreach, case management, or peer support roleKnowledge of trauma‑informed care, motivational interviewing, or solution‑focused approachesFamiliarity with electronic health records or case management systemsWork Environment & Physical RequirementsWork performed in office, treatment, court, and community settingsMay require travel to courts, probation offices, or partner locationsAbility to sit, stand, walk, and engage directly with clients and external partnersCore CompetenciesProfessional judgment and accountabilityRelationship building and collaborationClear communication and documentationProblem‑solving and systems navigationCompliance and ethical standards As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment, Sanctuary Recovery Centers conducts background checks and drug screenings for all potential employees.
