Position: Clinical Medicine Domain Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $70–$110/hour
Location: Hybrid, Bay Area, California
Commitment: 40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Evaluate the quality of clinical knowledge work tasks and AI model outputs. Identify missing behaviors, thin reasoning, and unsafe recommendations.
• Write high-quality instruction specs and produce golden solutions to clinical problems. Define new clinical tasks reflecting real medical practice.
• Design challenging clinical tasks and evaluation sets. Build medicine-specific skills and tools with the research team.
• Collaborate with client researchers and specialists to maintain consistent standards. Translate clinical judgment into explicit, teachable criteria.
• Work independently and asynchronously to improve AI model performance.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school with completed residency.
• 4+ years of post-residency clinical practice.
• Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in at least one U.S. state.
• Board certification in your specialty.
• Genuine specialization in a defined clinical specialty.
• Senior level progression, e.g., Attending Physician, Medical Director.
• Hands-on use of large language models in professional work.
• Able to commit to 40 hours/week for an initial 6-month engagement.
• Living in the Bay Area, California.
