We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 13-week travel contract in Carlsbad, NM. Quick submission and fast placement!
Assignment Details:
Shift: Nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours: 36 hours per week (3x12s)
Duration: 13 weeks
Floating and call required
Start Date: ASAP
Job Description:
The Medical Surgical RN is responsible for providing direct patient care to adult patients with a variety of medical conditions and post-surgical needs. Duties include:
Performing comprehensive patient assessments and monitoring vital signs
Administering medications and IV therapies per physician orders
Managing multiple patient assignments in a fast-paced acute care setting
Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
Educating patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
Documenting all care accurately in the EMR system
Responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
Requirements:
Minimum 2+ years of recent Med/Surg experience
Active RN license
BLS & ACLS required
PALS preferred
