Fire Suppression Technician (Kitchen Hood & Fire Extinguisher Service)

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Compensation: $50,000 - $80,000+ annually, depending on experience, certifications, and licensing.

Fuze HR is hiring a Fire Suppression Technician on behalf of our client, a well-established leader in the fire protection industry. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician who takes pride in delivering quality service while helping keep customers and communities safe.

Position Summary

As a Fire Suppression Technician, you will inspect, maintain, repair, and service fire extinguishers and commercial kitchen fire suppression systems. You'll work directly with commercial customers to ensure their fire protection equipment remains compliant, operational, and ready when it matters most.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect, test, maintain, and service fire extinguishers and kitchen suppression systems
  • Perform repairs, maintenance, recharging, and component replacements
  • Install fire extinguishers, suppression equipment, and related safety devices
  • Complete semi-annual and annual inspections in accordance with applicable codes and regulations
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues during service calls
  • Educate customers on proper equipment use and fire safety best practices
  • Complete accurate service documentation and inspection reports
  • Coordinate with the service team to complete scheduled work efficiently
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience servicing fire extinguishers and/or kitchen suppression systems preferred
  • Manufacturer training and CSA certifications are considered an asset
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a variety of commercial environments, including at heights and in confined spaces
