Kids in Motion Academy is seeking a passionate, nurturing, and dependable Toddler Lead Teacher to join our team! If you have a love for working with young children and are committed to creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment, we would love to hear from you.
The Toddler Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing daily lesson plans, creating a positive classroom environment, supervising children, and fostering their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. The Lead Teacher will work collaboratively with the administration, families, and classroom support staff to ensure the highest quality of care and education.
What You'll Do
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS).
- Create a warm, safe, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Supervise and engage children throughout the day while ensuring their safety at all times.
- Conduct daily classroom activities that promote learning through play.
- Complete daily observations, assessments, and required documentation.
- Maintain open and professional communication with families regarding their child's progress and daily activities.
- Ensure compliance with Bright from the Start licensing regulations and Kids in Motion Academy policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom.
- Work collaboratively with assistant teachers and administration.
- Attend staff meetings, professional development, and required training.
- Model professionalism, teamwork, and positive interactions with children, families, and coworkers.
Requirements
- CDA, TCC, Associate's Degree, or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of one year of experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in classroom activities.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and meet all Bright from the Start requirements.
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
