RN Med Surg Oncology
Job Description
An acute-care hospital in Tallahassee, FL is seeking an experienced Oncology RN to join its Med-Surg Oncology unit. The 288-bed facility serves Leon and Gadsden Counties and includes a dedicated Cancer Center among its specialty programs.
The role. Working within a collaborative, patient-centered care model, the Oncology RN conducts comprehensive patient assessments and analyzes findings to establish diagnoses, identify individualized expected outcomes, and manage treatment plans with a high degree of clinical autonomy. The nurse serves as a consistent advocate for patient safety and quality care within the interdisciplinary team, coordinating effective use of time, supplies, and equipment across the shift. A meaningful part of this role involves educating patients and their families about medications, procedures, and treatments, and providing support throughout the care continuum.
What we're looking for.
- 1 year of recent acute care Med-Surg RN experience required
- Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Current ACLS preferred, required within 6 months of hire
- BSN is preferred
Schedule. Position is available on days (7a–7p) or nights (7p–7a), both with rotating weekends.
Compensation. $30.89 - $43.25/hr
