Art Teacher

The Art Teacher, reporting to the Principal, plays a critical role in cultivating a dynamic learning ecosystem where students build creative confidence, expand visual communication skills, and explore artistic expression aligned with school standards. This role advances a culture of curiosity, innovation, and individual talent development across all grade levels.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts preferred.
  • Valid teaching certification/license preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience as an Art Teacher or in a related instructional environment.
  • Satisfactory fingerprinting/background check for all external applicants.

Core Responsibilities
  1. Design and deliver engaging lessons in art and art history aligned with learning objectives.
  2. Prepare classroom environments with necessary materials and equipment.
  3. Develop students’ skills in drawing, coloring, painting, and mixed media.
  4. Provide instruction using graphite, charcoal, oil, acrylic, and watercolor mediums.
  5. Introduce and reinforce art history concepts to broaden cultural understanding.
  6. Assign and grade projects, assessments, and creative outputs.
  7. Track and report student progress with accuracy and clarity.
  8. Maintain clean, safe, and organized classroom spaces.
  9. Manage inventory and secure required art supplies proactively.
  10. Participate in faculty, parent-teacher, and collaborative meetings.
  11. Support broader school operations through additional assigned duties.

Working Conditions
This role requires steady emotional balance and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced academic setting. Daily attendance and punctuality are essential. Physical activity may include standing, bending, lifting materials, and arranging classroom equipment.

Terms of Employment
  • Salary: $45,000–$60,000
  • Type of Assignment: Full-time, Exempt
  • Schedule: Aligned with the academic calendar and school operational needs
