Title: Cardiovascular Cath Lab Tech
Location: Brick Township, NJ
Duration: 13 Weeks (High Possibility of Extension)
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Cath Lab Technician to support cardiac catheterization and invasive cardiovascular procedures in an acute-care hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and hands-on experience assisting with procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support during cardiac catheterization and invasive cardiovascular procedures.
- Perform scrub and table-side responsibilities during procedures.
- Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, supplies, and instruments.
- Assist physicians and the clinical team during cardiovascular procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique and follow infection-control and patient-safety protocols.
- Monitor and maintain necessary equipment and supplies.
- Support efficient workflow within the Cath Lab.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow established departmental procedures.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory or invasive procedure area within an acute-care hospital.
- Alternatively, qualifying experience may include:
- 6–12 months of clinical experience during an accredited CVT program, or
- 2 years of experience in another cardiac/vascular laboratory.
- Hands-on scrub and table-side experience is required.
- Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist program, Radiologic Technologist program, or applicable Applied Science program.
- BLS – American Heart Association (AHA)
- ACLS – American Heart Association (AHA)
- Must obtain one of the following within the required timeframe:
- RCIS certification through CCI, or
- Radiologic Technologist License
- Cardiac catheterization laboratory experience.
- Invasive cardiovascular procedure experience.
- Scrub and table-side assistance.
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute-care environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
