Hematologist / Oncologist
Job Description
An established and growing cancer care program serving the Glens Falls and Saratoga Springs communities is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hematologist/Oncologist to join its collaborative medical team.
This full-time opportunity offers the ability to provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care in an established program supported by advanced technology, experienced clinical staff, and a strong referral network.
Clinical Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat hematologic disorders and solid tumor malignancies
- Provide comprehensive outpatient hematology and oncology care
- Manage patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and supportive treatments
- Evaluate and treat conditions including leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, breast cancer, lung cancer, gastrointestinal cancers, other solid tumors, and benign hematologic disorders
- Perform new patient consultations and ongoing disease management
- Review laboratory results, pathology reports, imaging studies, and molecular and genetic testing
- Collaborate with surgeons, radiation oncologists, primary care providers, pharmacists, nurses, and advanced practice providers
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and quality improvement initiatives
- Provide patient education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and survivorship
- Participate in clinical research opportunities when available
- Maintain accurate documentation using the electronic medical record
- Participate in shared call coverage
- Established cancer care program with a collaborative physician team
- Experienced Hematology/Oncology physicians and advanced practice providers
- Comprehensive cancer center resources, including:
- Infusion services
- Radiation oncology
- PET/CT imaging
- Laboratory services
- Pharmacy support
- Genetic counseling
- Multidisciplinary support from oncology nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, psychologists, and nurse navigators
- Modern clinical environment with advanced resources

- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an Internal Medicine residency
- Fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
- Active New York medical license or eligibility for licensure
- Current DEA registration
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team
- Full-time position
- Monday–Friday outpatient schedule
- Combination of outpatient clinic and inpatient consultation responsibilities
- Shared call rotation of approximately 1:6 between locations
