- Manage the ancillary Request for Proposal (RFP) process, interacting with sales, brokers, and insurance carriers.
- Responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and making ancillary benefits recommendations.
- Ability to propose plan and pricing alternatives across all non-medical lines, including dental, vision, life, disability, absence, supplemental health, worksite, executive and voluntary benefits.
- Deliver high quality and accurate marketing workbooks in a timely manner.
- Provide prompt, efficient, and high-quality service to develop and maintain relationships with our broker partners, their clients, and our partner carriers.
- Able to educate and train internal and external partners on the technical nuances of ancillary products, pricing, and process.
- Serves as an extension of our Sales Managers and Account Executives in identifying growth opportunities across prospects and existing customers.
- Manage a high volume of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) in a pressure-filled environment.
Required, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong mathematical and analytic skills.
- Incredibly attentive to detail; obsessed with accuracy and high-quality work product.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in one’s presentation and communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Comfortable on the phone and presenting to clients and prospects in person or via webinar.
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently but thrives in a team environment.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and takes pride in one’s work.
- Highly proficient in MS Office – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Aspirations to lead and learn various elements of a dynamic and growing employee benefits business, that focuses on technology, enrollment, administration, and marketing.
Qualified candidate should have the following:
- Broker or insurance carrier experience.
- Underwriting experience preferred.
- Undergraduate degree (preferred, but not required)
- Strong organizational, time management and follow-through skills.
- Self-motivated and goal oriented
- Desire to continually learn new products and services; adaptable and very curious.
- Life and Health license preferred or willing to become licensed within 180 days of employment.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
