Mindlink is seeking a dedicated and culturally responsive Somali Translator to support written translation projects across a variety of subject areas. We work with Educational/Local Gov/Other Non-Profit Clients based in Washington/Oregon. US-based candidates are a client requirement; translators based in Washington and Oregon states are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and culturally appropriate translations while meeting client deadlines.
- Follow client-specific style guides, glossaries, and terminology.
- Communicate clearly with the Mindlink team regarding availability, questions, or clarifications.
- Revise translations based on feedback when required.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics.
- Native-level fluency in Somali.
- Minimum 3 years of professional translation experience.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Ability to quickly learn and use new softwares; experience with CAT tools strongly preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions, style guides, and quality standards.
- Access to Mindlink’s Learning Center for ongoing training.
- Participation in feedback cycles using tools like LinguistLink.
