OUD REENTRY SPECIALIST POSITION SUMMARY:
The OUD (Opioid Use Disorder)-Mental Health Reentry Specialist is responsible for providing case management, reentry planning, and transitional support services to incarcerated individuals with substance use disorders, mental health needs, and co-occurring disorders. The specialist works collaboratively with correctional staff, treatment providers, community agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure individuals have access to services, resources, and supports that promote successful reintegration into the community and reduce recidivism.
OUD REENTRY SPECIALIST MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Human Services, Counseling, Behavioral Health, or a related field required.
- Minimum of two years of experience working with justice-involved individuals, substance use treatment, mental health services, case management, or reentry services.
- Knowledge of Opioid Use Disorder, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), mental health disorders, trauma-informed care, and recovery-oriented practices.
- Experience coordinating services with community agencies and healthcare providers.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to establish rapport with diverse populations and maintain professional boundaries.
