Adaptive Playground Program Counselor

The City of St Clair Shores is now accepting Counselor applications for our Adaptive Playground Program.This program runs from June 15 - August 14, 2026Counselors are scheduled to work 40 hours per week for nine (9) weeks of the summer. Applicants must be willing to work full-time outdoors (weather permitting) as the program is based out of Veterans Memorial Park.Primary responsibilities include:Direct supervision of individuals with a range of disabilitiesEnsuring safety of campers at all timesAssist in planning and implementing different activities (crafts, games, science experiments, etc)Working in a team setting with many other staff membersExperience is not required. Staff training and orientations will be provided upon hiring.Applicants MUST be 18 years of age at time of hire.
