Our Savior Preschool and Child Care Center (OSPCC) is a Christian, not for profit center serving child ages 6 weeks through age 10. OSPCC prides itself on providing a loving environment that promotes the social, emotional, intellectual, physical, and spiritual growth of children in our care. OSPCC is seeking an Assistant Infant/Toddler Teacher who, together with the classroom teacher, will help implement developmentally appropriate activities, support daily routines, observe and document children's growth and development, and build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues. The ideal candidate is dependable, reliable, caring, and enthusiastic about helping children learn and thrive.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children by actively engaging in planned and unplanned activities.
  • Implement creative ways to engage children and encourage their self-confidence and independence.
  • Maintain communication with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.
  • Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.
  • Create a safe, healthy, and fun environment that promotes the social, emotional, intellectual and physical development


Requirements

  • Ability to thrive in a team environment and work collaboratively with other teachers and OSPCC Director.
  • Flexibility to adapt to OSPCC's changing needs
  • Willingness to participate in regular staff meetings and professional development days as well as family events to promote and strengthen the OSPCC community
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience.


Nice To Haves

  • A member, in good standing, of a Christian Church.
  • An understanding of child development.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • The age of eighteen years or older.
