CNA - Activities AideSaint Elizabeth Home | Memory Care UnitPart Time | 11am - 7pm including every other weekend | 24 hours per weekPay: $22/hourJoin our Long Term Care team at Saint Elizabeth Home in East Greenwich to experience our mission of caring and superior staffing ratios!Responsibilities of a CNA - Activities Aide:Assist the TR Director in developing, coordinating, and implementing group and individualized holistic recreation programs for all residents to enhance spirit, mind, and body. This is to include:Present programsProvide 1:1's to isolated residentsAdapt activities/assist residents to meet all needsOrganize special eventsProvide encouragement for residents to attend programsProvide transportation to and from programsPrepare for activities on monthly calendar acquiring supplies, arranging/decorating roomUtilize departmental and community resourcesCoordinate and assist residents on community outings Provide continued assessment of all recreation programs ensuring quality and for resident appropriateness and effectiveness.Assist the TR Director in preparing all areas of documentation including assessment, progress notes, attendance records, MDS, and care plan.Maintain department supplies and cleanliness. Reporting safety hazards to appropriate parties.Provide the department with the characteristics of an Activity Assistant including:CreativityInitiationTeam playerEmpathetic, gentleness, kindness, compassion and courtesy toward residents and staffCommunication with all staffListening skillsOrganizationAbility to generate ideas and implement themResourcefulnessFlexibleKnowledgeableDevelopment of Activity Assistant through attendance at meetings, inservice training, specialized training programs, seminars, and workshops.Participate in interdepartmental development of systems, policies & procedures. Identify problem areas and work with appropriate personnel to correct and improve them.Being adaptable to work in any work setting including The Cove, The Bay, The Hill, individualized programming, and any other setting as needed by the TR Director.Follow all necessary procedures related to infection control, fire safety, resident rights, TLC policy & procedures, and Saint Elizabeth Home mission/vision policies.Ensure that resident's rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property, dignity, and civil rights, including the right to make complaints, are well established and maintained at all times.Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information to ensure that resident rights are protected.Qualifications for a CNA -Activities Aide: Individuals must be energetic, creative, patient and able to work both individually and as part of a teamCurrent and valid Rhode Island CNA requiredWhy choose Saint Elizabeth Community?Saint Elizabeth Community is a non-profit, locally owned organization providing compassionate, high-quality care since 1882.
