Walter L. Cohen College Prep is searching for a High School Math Teacher for the 2022 - 20123 school year. This individual will be expected to provide an educational atmosphere where scholars of various academic levels can develop a strong understanding and appreciation for the subject matter. He/she will create an environment that encourages learning and will explore various academic concepts.
Responsibilities
- Design classroom instruction using research-based strategies
- Frequently analyze results from multiple sources to drive instruction
- Work with students to remediate gaps
- Maintain school culture of high behavioral expectations
- Maintain frequent communication with student families
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (required).
- Teacher Certification or certification eligible (preferred).
- Background and/or content related coursework (required).
- Experience working in urban schools (preferred)
- Solutions-Oriented: concentrates on finding ways to solve problems and improve systems
- Work ethic: possesses a strong willingness to work hard and long hours to get the job done
- Intelligence: learns quickly, demonstrates ability to quickly and proficiently absorb new information
- Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work well in a team
