The Lifeguard contributes to the success of Diventures by ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming aquatic environment while providing exceptional customer service and positive experiences for all guests.The Lifeguard is responsible for actively surveilling aquatic areas to prevent accidents and responding quickly and effectively to emergencies. This role requires strong attention to safety, clear communication, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.Lifeguards play a critical role in enforcing pool rules, maintaining water safety standards, and creating an environment where families feel confident and cared for while serving as visible representatives of Diventures' commitment to safety, professionalism, and fun.Primary ResponsibilitiesMaintain constant and effective surveillance of assigned aquatic areasAnticipate and prevent accidents through proactive enforcement of safety rulesRespond immediately and appropriately to aquatic emergenciesPerform water rescues, first aid, CPR, and AED use as neededComplete incident reports accurately in a timely mannerMaintain a clean, organized, and safe pool deckSupport swim programs and special events as assignedProvide friendly, professional interactions with guests and familiesCollaborate with the Aquatics Experience team to support daily operationsWhat Makes a Successful Diventures LifeguardVigilant and safety-focusedCalm under pressureStrong decision-making skillsClear communicatorTeam-orientedProfessional and responsiblePositive attitudeDependable and punctualRequired QualificationsActive American Red Cross Lifeguard CertificationOxygen Administration certification (if required by facility)Completion of Diventures Way training (position-specific)Knowledge of facility Emergency Action Plans (EAPs)Ability to enforce aquatic safety rules consistently and professionallyWork Environment & ExpectationsAbility to work for extended periods in sun, heat, humidity, and variable weatherAbility to sit, stand, and remain alert for extended periodsAbility to lift and assist guests in and out of the water when necessaryWillingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduledCommitment to four hours of in-service training monthlyWhy Join Diventures?Join a team committed to safety, relationships, and creating exceptional aquatic experiences for every guest.
