Job Description
We are looking for Bilingual Production Lead: 2nd shift to support our employees and client operations.

Position Summary:
The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing daily production operations to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with quality standards. This position provides leadership to production employees, monitors productivity, ensures compliance with safety and company policies, and works closely with other departments to achieve operational goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Production Operations
  • Supervise daily production activities to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Ensure production lines operate efficiently while minimizing downtime and waste.
  • Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and equipment utilization.
  • Coordinate shift start-ups, changeovers, and shutdowns.
  • Ensure production targets, quality standards, and deadlines are consistently achieved.
  • Investigate production delays and implement corrective actions.
Team Leadership
  • Lead, coach, motivate, and develop production employees.
  • Assign daily work responsibilities and monitor employee performance.
  • Conduct shift meetings to communicate production goals, safety updates, and operational changes.
  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce OSHA regulations and all company safety policies.
  • Conduct routine safety observations and ensure employees use proper PPE.
  • Report, investigate, and document workplace injuries, accidents, and near misses.
  • Maintain compliance with GMP, HACCP, ISO, FDA, or customer-specific requirements, when applicable.
  • Ensure employees follow all company policies and procedures.
Quality Assurance
  • Monitor product quality throughout the production process.
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance to resolve production issues.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce defects.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Staffing & Scheduling
  • Develop and manage employee schedules based on production demands.
  • Approve employee timecards, attendance, and overtime.
  • Maintain proper staffing levels by coordinating with HR and staffing agencies.
  • Ensure adequate cross-training of production employees.
Inventory & Equipment
  • Monitor raw material usage and report shortages.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance regarding equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure work areas remain organized, clean, and compliant with 5S standards.
  • Assist with inventory counts as needed.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost savings.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including productivity, scrap, downtime, labor efficiency, attendance, and safety.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and employee development skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and production software.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent conflict resolution and coaching abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Understanding of production planning and scheduling.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze production data and implement improvements.
  • Strong attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and reach.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, noise levels, and production environments.
  • Ability to wear required PPE throughout the shift.
