Shipping and Order Processing Associate
Job Description
The Order Processor plays a vital role in Being the Partner that Helps Our Customers’ Business Grow. This position ensures that every order leaving the distribution center reflects the quality, accuracy, and care that defines our products and our brand. As the last line of review before a shipment reaches the customer, this role safeguards the integrity of our products and helps ensure reliable, on-time, and high-quality delivery experience. By upholding safety, accuracy, and productivity standards, the Processor contributes directly to customer satisfaction and the continued growth of our business.
The Processor is responsible for packing finished goods into shipping containers, generating shipping labels and related documents, and verifying that all outbound orders are complete and accurate. This role supports company safety, quality, and productivity goals.
Essential Functions- Examine and route outgoing ground shipments (e.g., FedEx); ensure containers are damage-free.
- Report inventory concerns or shortages to the supervisor and Command Center.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure order accuracy and product condition.
- Review packed goods against the order documentation, ensuring they match the order number written on the packages.
- Gather and record weights and dimensions for data entry in shipping software.
- Enter package data and verify customer information in the shipping system.
- Print and include packing lists in shipments.
- Seal, label, and place outgoing containers on conveyor or roller systems.
- Immediately report defective materials, damaged goods, or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
- Maintain adequate supply of shipping materials as needed to ensure continuous workflow.
- Keep the work area and equipment clean and orderly; follow safety regulations.
- Assist in other warehouse functions as needed, including receiving, inventory counts, or returns processing.

The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, fumes, or airborne particles. Work conditions vary with outdoor temperatures due to open loading dock areas. Personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves and steel-toed footwear, is required.
Physical DemandsThis role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds unassisted. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time, first-shift position. Normal hours are 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. During peak seasons (fall/early winter), the shift may extend to 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Flexibility to work overtime or occasional weekends during peak demand periods is required.

Required Education and Experience- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to read and write English fluently.
- Able to measure and enter shipping data into system.
- Prior warehouse experience.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Preferred: Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and/or RF scanner. Forklift certification or ability to obtain within 60 days preferred.
