Our client is seeking an Electrical Technician to support electrical assembly, prototype development, testing, troubleshooting, and laboratory activities.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of professional electrical experience, hands-on soldering experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow detailed technical procedures and documentation.
Responsibilities
Solder electrical components and assemblies to build and repair electrical subsystems.
Assemble prototype and pre-production units following build procedures and work instructions.
Test electrical devices and components to verify functionality and performance.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in a hands-on laboratory environment.
Set up laboratory equipment and support testing and data collection.
Maintain lab equipment, tools, materials, and work areas.
Follow technical procedures, work instructions, and established quality standards.
Complete accurate documentation related to assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and lab activities.
Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to support product development.
Assist with the development and refinement of products moving toward commercial release.
Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while working with electrical components and assemblies.
Required Qualifications
At least 1 year of professional electrical experience.
Hands-on soldering experience.
Experience working with electrical or electronic components.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability and willingness to perform technical documentation.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures.
Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in Wilmington, MA.
No college degree required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with both hardware and software.
PCB assembly or rework experience.
Prototype or pre-production assembly experience.
Experience using electrical test equipment.
Laboratory, manufacturing, engineering, semiconductor, or regulated-product experience.
Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
