CDL Bus Driver for Field Trips

As a bus driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students aged 3-12 years old.

Our routes are small, allowing for a more personalized experience. Additionally, a bus monitor will be present to assist with student supervision.

Qualifications include a clean background check and we welcome retirees.

• Adhere to established safety guidelines to ensure a secure boarding and exiting process for students.
• Exercise courtesy and follow traffic laws while operating vehicles.
• Regularly inspect vehicle components such as tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety equipment to guarantee optimal performance.

Assuming responsibility for transporting students to their designated drop-off points according to predetermined time schedules.

• Document any bus malfunctions or repair needs.
• Submit reports detailing passenger counts, trips, hours worked, mileage, and fuel consumption.

• Stay up-to-date with first-aid procedures and protocols.
• Ensure a clean and comfortable environment for passengers by maintaining the bus interior.
• Utilize maps and verbal directions to navigate and reach designated destinations.

Adhere to safety protocols for bus/vehicle operation.

Regularly inspect buses/vehicles.

• Drive passenger vehicles.
• Record operational details of travel.
• Maintain professional knowledge or certifications.
• Read maps to determine routes.
• Receive information or instructions for performing work assignments.

Familiarity with the following is an asset:

Utilizing bus warning lights effectively.

Knowledge of emergency exit doors and procedures.

First-aid kit operation and maintenance.

Portable fire extinguisher usage.

Tire pressure gauges for vehicle maintenance.
