Job Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care services under the medical direction of board-certified anesthesiologists
• Perform pre-anesthetic patient assessments and develop individualized anesthesia care plans
• Administer anesthesia and monitor patients throughout surgical and procedural interventions
• Manage patient airways and provide ventilatory support as needed
• Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document anesthesia care accurately in electronic medical records
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings
• Respond appropriately to anesthesia emergencies and complications

Job Requirements

• Current certification as an Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA)
• Eligible for Texas Anesthesiologist Assistant licensure or currently licensed in Texas
• Graduate of an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant master's degree program
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
