Job Summary

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will play a key role in caring for patients across the full oncology continuum from diagnosis through treatment, survivorship, and long-term follow-up. This is an opportunity to work closely with specialists in a team-based environment while building meaningful relationships with patients.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and ongoing assessments
  • Partner with gynecologic oncologists to develop and manage treatment plans
  • Manage symptoms and side effects related to cancer and its treatment
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and supportive care
  • Participating in multidisciplinary care planning and tumor boards
  • Coordinate care with surgical, radiation, and infusion oncology teams
  • Support survivorship planning and long-term patient follow-up
  • Engage in quality improvement and clinical research initiatives

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Experience with chemotherapy administration preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in both independent and team-based settings

Education /Experience

  • 2+ years of oncology experience as an NP or PA

Licensure & Certification:

Nurse Practitioners:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited NP program
  • Active Arizona RN & APRN license
  • FNP or AGPCNP certification

Physician Assistants:

  • Graduate of an accredited PA program
  • NCCPA certification
  • Licensed in Arizona

Additional Requirements:

  • Active BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
  • ACLS certification
  • DEA registration

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to walk, bend, stoop, lift, and assist with patient positioning as needed
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to perform clinical examinations
  • Visual acuity sufficient to review patient records, imaging, laboratory results, and electronic documentation
  • Ability to respond effectively in urgent or emergent clinical situations
  • Outpatient oncology clinic
  • Exposure to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, chemotherapy agents, bodily fluids, and surgical hazards
  • High-acuity, fast-paced clinical setting requiring adaptability, multitasking, and critical thinking
  • Frequent interaction with oncology patients, families, surgeons, physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary care teams
