PCA / CompanionMake a Meaningful Difference Every DayGuardian Angel Senior Services is seeking caring, reliable, and compassionate Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) and Companions to support elderly and disabled clients in maintaining their independence and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes.If you are patient, flexible, and committed to treating others with dignity and respect, we want to hear from you. Prior home health care experience is helpful, but not required-we provide training and support to help you succeed.Basic FunctionTo maintain the client's independence by assisting with activities of daily living in accordance with established care plans.Key ResponsibilitiesFollow individualized client care plans and communicate changes with the care teamPrepare meals; assist or feed clients as needed in a pleasant mannerPerform light housekeeping and laundry to keep the client's environment neat and orderlyMonitor supplies and place orders as needed per care planAssist with rehabilitation exercises and treatmentsEncourage and assist with personal hygiene and groomingNever lift a client from the floor-if a fall occurs, call Guardian Angel Senior Services or 911 in an emergencyWear required personal protective equipment (PPE)Provide transportation, run errands, and accompany clients on outings and shopping tripsMaintain email access for schedules and updatesProvide emotional support and companionshipMaintain strict confidentiality of client informationDocument client records each shift and report any changes to the SupervisorAttend required in-service training and staff meetingsRequirementsCommitment to the rights of elderly and disabled people to live dignified livesCaring, supportive attitudePatience, flexibility, and understandingStrong communication, organization, and time management skillsAbility to lift and move up to 75 lbsAbility to bend, stand, walk, and climb stairs frequentlyReliable transportationAccess to emailGuardian Angel Senior Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
