Cypress & Oak, the restaurant at The Delegate Hotel is hiring for a Restaurant Host! Front-of-house staff is friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and works in a professional manner resulting in a very high level of guest satisfaction. As a member of the front-of-house team, you'll create memorable experiences for our guests.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Greet guests as they arrive; check guests into reservation system.Demonstrate genuine hospitality during every interaction with our guests.Assign guests to tables using the reservation system.Assist with clearing and resetting tables as needed during high volume times.Attend pre-shift meeting to review/communicate information regarding service, VIPs, and Specials.Engaging with guests while they are waiting for their table to create a welcoming environment.Performs opening and closing responsibilities in a timely and detailed manner.Answer guest questions about restaurant history, current wait times, etc.Maintain a positive guest experience with effective communication of all guest recovery situations while documenting such occurrences to the MOD.Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or instructed by management.Assist and support team members, as necessary.Perform other related duties as directed by the Bar Manager, FOH Managers, General Manager, or Corporate Office.Consistent productivityOther duties as assigned.Skills and Experience:Demonstrates knowledge and ability to execute restaurant standards.Restaurant experience preferred.Must have a positive attitude.1 Year of customer service experience.Key Competencies:Communication SkillsInterpersonal SkillsProficiency in a fast-paced environment.About youYou're a people person at heart and enjoy collaborating with other creatives to meet our collective goals and thrive in the market.You're energized by fast-paced environments and lofty goals.You're fun.Free To Be, Inclusion & DiversityAs a purpose-led, performance-driven company, we strive to foster a culture of belonging based on respect, connection, openness, and authenticity.
