Join us in Ripon, WI as the servant-leader for a high-output stamping press operation. In this role, you’ll orchestrate people, processes, and equipment to meet demanding production schedules—while nurturing a culture where safety, inclusion, and continuous improvement come first. This position runs on weekend second shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:00pm to 5:00am, with the possibility of additional workdays as needed.
Your impact- Safety leadership: Set expectations, audit rigorously, ensure PPE compliance, and conduct root-cause investigations for incidents and near-misses.
- Team empowerment: Coach operators and technicians, recognize contributions, and foster a respectful environment where every voice counts.
- Talent development: Train, mentor, and assess skills; drive cross-training; consistently manage attendance and conduct.
- Employee relations: Serve as the first point of contact on employee concerns and partner with Union Stewards on contract and discipline topics.
- Operational excellence: Direct the stamping press department to achieve aggressive throughput, stringent quality, and on-time delivery, even as priorities shift.
- Flow and utilization: Monitor workloads, assign tasks, and maximize machine utilization to minimize downtime.
- Continuous improvement: Lead 5S, Kaizen, and Lean projects; analyze downtime, scrap, and bottlenecks; implement countermeasures with Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering.
- Visibility and alignment: Keep precise records for production, quality, and safety; report KPIs to leadership; collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues quickly under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated servant-leadership style with results in high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing (1–3 years).
- Supervisory experience, preferably in high-volume stamping press operations.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and CI methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations preferred; relevant internships/co-ops/pro experience considered.
- Stooping, bending, standing for extended periods; manual dexterity; ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
