About the Company

Our client is a well-established, quality-certified precision manufacturer serving the aerospace, medical device, and semiconductor industries. The company provides specialized metal joining and thermal processing services in support of mission-critical components, and is currently growing through acquisition, which is adding to the workload driving this contract need. The company's name is withheld at this stage of the search but will be shared with qualified, interested candidates.

Position Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Contract Senior Accountant to provide focused, short-term support through an active period of year-end and banking audits combined with M&A activity related to a current acquisition. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role that requires someone who can step in quickly, understand what auditors and deal teams need, and turn around accurate information with minimal ramp-up time. The contractor will work closely with, and report directly to, the Controller.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and accurately to information requests from external auditors during year-end and banking audits.

• Support M&A transaction activity by compiling, organizing, and validating financial data needed for the ongoing acquisition.

• Build and maintain Excel-based schedules, reconciliations, and analyses to support audit and deal deliverables.

• Learn to navigate the company's internal ERP system well enough to independently pull the data required for audit and transaction support (prior experience with that specific system is not required).

• Work side-by-side with the Controller day to day, staying closely aligned on priorities and deadlines.

• Flag issues, inconsistencies, or gaps in financial data proactively so they can be resolved before they affect audit or deal timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Experience working through audits highly preferred.

• Strong Excel skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Engagement Details

This is a contract engagement expected to run 1–2 months, with the possibility of extension depending on the pace of the audits and the acquisition. Our client has an urgent, immediate need and is looking to move quickly through screening to onboarding.
