Quality Inspector

Job Summary

Cannonball Recruiting is seeking experienced Quality Inspectors to support manufacturing operations in Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and responsible for inspecting materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet company and customer quality standards.

Job Duties

  • Inspect incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods for quality and specification compliance.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, rulers, and CMM equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and specifications.
  • Identify, document, and report non-conforming products or quality issues.
  • Complete inspection reports, quality documentation, and inspection sheets accurately.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions when quality issues arise.
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality concerns.
  • Verify products meet customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Follow established safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and manufacturing quality processes.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
  • 1–3 years of quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience using precision inspection and measuring equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to complete quality documentation.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and identify potential quality issues.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
  • Experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control).
  • Experience with CMM inspection equipment.
  • Manufacturing or machining environment experience.
