GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:The Bar to Bar Operator is responsible for all the functions as listed below. Operation of this area must be understood in total with the focus of utilizing the equipment to meet all the quality and productivity goals as outlined in our quality system. All work instructions must be followed as outlined.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:1. General overview of the LP2. General safety3. Lock out tag out 4. ISO5. AS-4006. Crane training 7. Forklift training 8. Time sheets 9. Time off request 10. Accident/incident reports11. Product ID and parking12. Recycle program 13. Serious misconduct policy 14. LP objectives All items are defined in the Bar to Bar Operator Work Instructions.SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:1. Other duties as assigned2. Participation in relevant continuous improvement programs.MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)PHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED:•Mobility in plant•While performing the duties of (this job), the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, etc.•The employee is frequently required to make use of their hands for technical tasks•The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds•Visual ability with or without correction•Communication abilities HEALTH AND SAFETY:1. Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations2. Follow Company safety rules3. Report the absence of or defect in any protective equipment or clothing to the Supervisor or Manager immediately4. Use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that is required to be used or worn:a. Safety shoesb. Safety glassesc. Hearing protectiond. Hard HatSome areas may require additional personal protective equipment such as:e. Respirators; the respirator requires you to be clean shaven in order to comply with company policies and procedures as well as OSHA Regulations.f. Fire Retardant clothingg. Acid PPE5. Report to the Safety Coordinator, Group Lead or Supervisor any contravention of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations or Company policy6. Must follow all Lock out Tag out (LOTO) guidelines for designated machines7. Must follow all Environmental Policies and Regulations8. Maintain a clean and safe work areaWORK ENVIRONMENT:1. Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations2. Clean, well ventilated and safe work areas. HUMAN RESOURCES:1. Abiding by the Acerinox Code of Conduct2.
