RN – Emergency Department (ER)

We’re seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join a dynamic acute care team in San Luis Obispo, California. The ideal candidate is confident in triage, rapid assessment, and delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency setting.
Position Overview
Perform comprehensive triage assessments on all patients
Notify the Emergency MD of all abnormal signs, symptoms, and vital signs 100% of the time
Provide timely nursing interventions in urgent and emergent situations
Administer medications and treatments per protocol
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Document patient care accurately in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
Education & Work Experience
Associate Degree (A.S.) or equivalent: Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
Minimum one (1) year acute care experience: Required
Licenses & Certifications
Current California RN license: Required
BLS (BLS, HS-BLS, or RQI BLS): Required
ACLS (ACLS, HS-ACLS, or RQI ACLS): Required
PALS (PALS, HS-PALS, or RQI PALS): Required
TNCC: Required within 6 months of hire or transfer
