Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all IDD service programs and operations
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing IDD services, including BDDS and FSSA guidelines
- Lead, mentor, and supervise IDD program staff, including case managers, support staff, and direct support professionals (DSPs)
- Develop and manage program budgets, resources, and service delivery models
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, families, and funding agencies
- Monitor quality assurance measures and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Advocate for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and promote person-centered planning
- Maintains compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and accrediting regulatory requirements.
Develops, implements, and continuously improves processes and procedures that align with agency and ICF/IID policies, regulations, and best practices.
Establishes and maintains department-wide systems that ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation across all residential programs.
Provides strategic leadership for regulatory readiness by developing department-wide compliance processes, directing survey preparation activities, ensuring timely implementation of corrective actions, and leading systemic improvements following surveys, investigations, audits, and regulatory reviews.
Analyzes organizational data and trends to identify opportunities for service enhancement, operational efficiency, and improved outcomes across the department and agency.
Maintains awareness of current and emerging risks, proactively identifying and addressing issues to prevent potential crises and ensure continuity of quality services.
Demonstrates inquisitive, analytical, and objective thinking by examining issues beyond surface-level symptoms to identify root causes and sustainable solutions.
Trains, mentors, and guides staff in the consistent application of agency policies and procedures while overseeing program operations to minimize corrective action plans and compliance deficiencies.
Evaluates trends identified through surveys, investigations, incidents, audits, quality assurance activities, and stakeholder feedback to implement department-wide systemic improvements. These improvements may include policy revisions, workflow redesign, staff development initiatives, and performance enhancement strategies designed to prevent recurrence and strengthen service quality.
Promotes a culture of accountability, continuous quality improvement, regulatory excellence, and person-centered service delivery throughout the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IDD services, disability services, or a related field
- Prior leadership or management experience in a human services setting
- Knowledge of Indiana BDDS regulations, Medicaid Waiver programs, and person-centered practices
- Strong communication, organizational, and team-building skills
- Valid Indiana driver's license and ability to pass background checks
- Passion for advocating and improving quality of life for individuals with IDD
