A 911 Dispatcher's job is much more than answering 911 calls and includes supporting responses with multiple agencies.Lake County is the ninth most populated county in Montana. We are hiring 911 Emergency Dispatchers to work all shifts within our centers.Qualifications and SkillsA High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)Ability to sit for long periods of timeAbility to gather information from several sources at once and accurately disseminate that information to respondersMust pass a criminal background checkMust pass a typing testPositive attitude and ability to work through rapidly unfolding situationsDesire to assist Law Enforcement, Fire, Search and Rescue, and other agencies as well as members of the publicDesire to work with modern technology with a focus on providing a fantastic customer experienceAdditional testing prior to interview will be mandatory through the Lake County Job ServiceHOURS/DAYS: Will work varying shifts, typically 12 hours.
