Clinical Nurse Supervisor (Internal Medicne Surgery)
Job Description
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
Internal Medicine Surgery
- Compensation: $150,000/Year
- Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 37.5 Hours Per Week
- Facility: Brooklyn, NY 11206
- Department: Nursing / Internal Medicine Surgery
The Opportunity:
In the world of nursing leadership, "Director" often translates to "on-call 24/7." This Assistant Director of Nursing role at Medical Center breaks that mold.
We are offering a rare 37.5-hour work week with a stable 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM schedule. You get the prestige and compensation of a high-level leadership position ($150k/year) without the burnout of traditional administrative hours. Located in the heart of Brooklyn at a vital community institution, this is where your clinical expertise meets a schedule that actually respects your life outside the hospital.
Responsibilities:
As the ADON for Internal Medicine Surgery, you are the backbone of the surgical service line. You will transition from bedside care to high-level strategy and mentorship:
- Clinical Leadership: Oversee daily operations for Internal Medicine Surgery, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and surgical excellence.
- Team Development: Act as a mentor and educator, supervising staff and fostering a culture of professional growth and accountability.
- Operational Excellence: Manage departmental workflows, resources, and staffing to optimize patient outcomes in a busy, mission-driven environment.
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with the Director of Nursing to implement best practices and maintain 100% regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
We are looking for a decisive, straightforward leader who thrives in high-pressure environments and knows how to "get things done."
- Licensure: Must hold an active New York State RN License.
- Education & Experience (Two Pathways):
- Path A: Master’s Degree in Nursing + 5 years of nursing experience (including 3 years in a supervisory or teaching role).
- Path B: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing + 6 years of nursing experience (including 4 years in a supervisory or teaching role).
- Leadership Style: You are a "fixer"—someone who can walk into a high-stakes situation, manage the stress, and provide the structure the team needs to succeed.
