Clinical Instruction & Supervision
- Supervise students in clinical settings in accordance with Board of Nursing regulations.
- Provide direct instruction, demonstration, and evaluation of nursing skills.
- Facilitate clinical judgment development using evidence-based teaching strategies.
- Evaluate student performance using standardized evaluation tools aligned with course objectives.
- Provide timely written and verbal feedback to students.
- Identify at-risk students and implement remediation plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate clinical attendance and evaluation documentation.
- Ensure student compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Compliance & Professional Standards
- Maintain current and unencumbered RN license.
- Ensure compliance with state Board of Nursing requirements.
- Adhere to institutional policies and clinical affiliate agreements.
- Maintain CPR certification and other required credentials.
- Model professional behavior consistent with nursing standards and ethical practice.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.
- Minimum of 2–3 years recent clinical experience.
- Experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred.
- Ability to travel to different clinical sites
- Proficiency with educational technology and electronic documentation systems.
Preferred
- Prior teaching experience in a Practical Nursing or Associate Degree Nursing program.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods during lab and clinical instruction.
Ability to lift and move lab equipment and supplies (up to 25 pounds).
Ability to demonstrate nursing skills safely.
