What You'll Do
- Supervise and care for a group of children in a classroom setting, providing a safe and engaging environment for their development
- Collaborate with the supervisor and teaching staff to develop and implement an age-appropriate curriculum that fosters creativity and learning
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and parents to ensure seamless support for our children
- Be flexible and supportive in responding to the needs of our center
Requirements
Requirements (must have or obtain):
- Successful completion of the 30-hour STARS Child Care Basics Training
- Current certification in Basic First Aid and Infant/Child CPR
- MAT (Medication Administration Training) certification
- HIV/Bloodborne Pathogens Training
- Food Handler’s Permit
- TB test clearance
- Successful completion of a full background check.
Other essential skills:
- The ability to work effectively with diverse families, including those with unique backgrounds, cultural needs, and individual circumstances.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and other online platforms.
Nice To Haves
Desirable qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience as a child care teacher/caregiver, or an equivalent background OR
- AA/BA in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field OR
- Progress toward the state-mandated requirements
