• Manage the daily activities of a classroom, including lessons, play, breaks, and meals, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all children.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children.
• Provide a nurturing and inclusive space for children to grow, learn, and thrive, adapting teaching methods and materials to meet their unique needs.
• Develop strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, fostering a sense of community and mutual respect.
• Track and report on children's progress, using this data to inform future teaching and learning strategies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-equipped classroom, ensuring that all materials and supplies are up-to-date and easily accessible.
• Supervise children at all times, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being, and providing guidance and support as needed.
• Plan and deliver engaging activities, including songs, games, and storytelling, that promote social skills, creativity, and cognitive development.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation procedures to create a secure and healthy environment for all children.

• Level of physical fitness that allows for keeping pace with the activity level of young children.
• Physical ability to sit on the floor or low chair or squat down for 15 minutes at a time
• Abiltiy to walk or stand for an hour at a time
• Ability to lift and carry at least 30 pounds.

Having a background in early childhood education or a related field would be a definite asset in this role.
