Sales Counter Associate

Job Overview / Description:Assisting walk-in customers with product needs and questions. Processing cash and charge sales for material pick up. Answering general phone calls and e-mails. Utilize the showroom to help customers make product selections. This role is vital due to the first impression our customer receives when coming to Allegheny Millwork & Lumber.Responsibilities and DutiesAnswering general phone calls and e-mailsProcessing cash and charge sales for walk-in trafficScheduling deliveriesSpecial order processingAlways prospect for new business opportunitiesContinue to expand on product knowledgeStocking shelves and maintaining the showroomQualifications / SkillsGeneral knowledge of construction and /or building supply industryFamiliarity with POS (point of sale) systems and the ability to learn new technologiesExcellent communication skillsCheerful working attitudeOutstanding customer service skillsAbility to work a flexible scheduleAbility to upsellAbility to stand most of the day and lift 50lb.
