General Manager – Fine Dining
Location: Long Beach, CA
Compensation: Base Salary up to $125,000/year + Quarterly Bonus + Generous Benefits Package
Position Summary
An iconic fine dining venue in Long Beach is seeking an experienced, high-volume General Manager to oversee all day-to-day operations. Managing a property generating over $8M in annual revenue, you will drive exceptional guest experiences, lead a seasoned front-of-house team, and maintain rigorous financial controls. This role requires a sophisticated hospitality professional with deep experience in fine dining, large-party execution, and private events.
Key Responsibilities
Financial & Operational Leadership: Oversee full P&L accountability for an $8M+ annual venue. Control food, beverage, and labor costs through strategic forecasting, budgeting, and labor management.
Events & Large Parties: Collaborate with the sales and culinary teams to seamlessly execute high-volume special events, private dining, and large group buyouts while maintaining fine dining standards across the main dining room.
Guest Experience & Standards: Maintain an elevated level of hospitality, establishing strong guest relationships and ensuring flawless service standards across every shift.
Team Building & Mentorship: Recruit, train, and retain top-tier service staff and department managers. Foster a positive, accountable team culture focused on hospitality and operational excellence.
Vendor & Facility Management: Oversee vendor contracts, inventory systems, beverage purchasing, and facility maintenance to preserve a premier physical environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Minimum 5+ years of General Manager experience in a premium fine dining environment.
Volume Requirement: Proven track record managing upscale operations generating $8M+ in annual revenue.
Financial Acumen: Advanced command of operational P&Ls, prime cost analysis, inventory systems, and labor scheduling software.
Event Mastery: Demonstrated expertise in managing high-end private dining, weddings, corporate events, and large-party flow.
Stability: Strong tenure with a history of career progression and lasting impact at prior establishments (no job-hopping).
Leadership Style: Hands-on leader with refined communication skills and a deep commitment to staff development.
