Carpenter Company has immediate opening for a Pouring Engineer at their Temple, TX manufacturing plant. This position interacts and receives training from Pouring Manager/Technical Director in all aspects of polyurethane slab stock production. The plant environment exposure for this position includes chemicals, heat, and machinery. The Pouring Engineer will also supervise and relay instruction to the pouring crew.

Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operational excellence. As the Pouring Engineer, you will be expected to assist with the direct supervision of hourly production personnel along with maintaining daily communication with department management, production personnel, scheduling, quality, and plant management. This individual will be responsible for assisting with the supervision of production and personnel related functions within the department. Major challenges include the efficient usage of materials, machines, and manpower to produce a quality product.

Additional responsibilities of the Pouring Engineer will include:

  • Develops understanding of pouring line technology (Ex: Machinery, PLC, and Formulations)
  • Participates in pour line projects
  • Assists and interacts with RTC Technical Support Group
  • Follows company standard operating procedures.

Skills / Requirements

  • BS Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Six months to one year of experience
  • 1st Shift 7:00 am - 4:00 pm (Overtime as needed to complete work for the day)
