Bicycle Technician - Full Time

Join our dynamic service team! We're seeking a skilled production bicycle technician to help cyclists enjoy their rides. Your daily tasks will involve thorough bicycle repairs, exceptional customer service, and more!

As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality repair work, communicating effectively with customers, and upholding our shop's standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Meet or exceed our shop's production standards.
• Accurately and completely fill out paperwork (record parts used, work performed, torque tolerance, and standard procedures; complete pricing of job ticket) and process it to the next status or location.
• Report and record any issues not addressed by the repair work to the customer and/or the appropriate leader.
• Provide customers with expert guidance and support during the repair process.
• Operate the cash register as needed.
• Notify the General Manager of replacement parts inventory and supply shortages. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the bench and common areas. Install and adjust speed and gear mechanisms.
• Assemble new bicycles when required.
• Install, repair, and replace equipment or accessories, such as handlebars, stands, lights, and seats.
• Align wheels.
• Disassemble axles to repair, adjust, and replace defective parts, using hand tools.
• Install and adjust brakes and brake pads.
• Install new tires and tubes.
• Clean and lubricate bicycle parts.
• Enter POS bicycle parts needed for each repair into the system.
• Build wheels by cutting and threading new spokes.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Here's what we're looking for in a candidate:

• A background in working as a technician/mechanic in a bike shop is preferred, but not mandatory.
• A willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• The ability to maintain positive relationships with employees and customers.
• A commitment to developing own skills and knowledge.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends.
