Group 1 Automotive is actively seeking experienced Automotive Technicians to join our high-performing Bob Howard dealerships throughout Oklahoma City and Edmond.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex vehicle concerns involving engines, transmissions, electrical systems, drivability, HVAC, suspension, steering, and braking systems.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment, manufacturer resources, and scan tools to accurately identify and resolve vehicle issues the first time.
- Perform high-quality bumper-to-bumper repairs while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Take ownership of repair orders from diagnosis through completion, effectively managing workload, bay productivity, and comebacks.
- Document inspection findings, diagnostic results, repair recommendations, and completed services with accuracy and professionalism.
- Partner with Service Advisors and fellow technicians to communicate repair needs, service recommendations, and estimated completion times.
- Consistently achieve productivity, efficiency, and quality goals in a fast-paced, performance-driven dealership environment.
- Participate in ongoing manufacturer training and certification programs to stay current with evolving automotive technology.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment while adhering to dealership and manufacturer standards.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of professional automotive repair experience
- Proven ability to run your own bay independently
- Strong diagnostic skills with minimal supervision
- Solid understanding of:
- Electrical systems
- Engine and drivability diagnostics
- Suspension, steering, brake, and HVAC systems
- Experience performing major repairs in an OEM dealership setting
- Own professional‑grade tools required for main line technician work
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Master Technicians and advanced diagnostic techs are strongly encouraged to apply
Pay, Compensation & Benefits:
- $30+ per flat hour for experienced Main Line Technicians
- $45+ per flat hour for Master‑Level Technicians
- Pay is based on experience, skill level, certifications, and performance
- Certification‑based pay increases as you progress in your career
