Lifeguard

Join our aquatic team as a Full Time Lifeguard, where your presence helps ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for all pool visitors. Your role involves monitoring pool activities, enforcing safety rules, and providing exceptional guest services. We have multiple openings at Tuckaway locations in the Richmond area.

This paid position offers the opportunity to develop lifesaving skills and contribute to a positive community experience.

• Keep a constant eye on pool areas to quickly spot potential safety hazards and respond to emergencies
• Maintain a safe environment for guests and staff by enforcing pool rules and regulations
• Regularly perform tasks such as cleaning filters, skimming debris, and checking water clarity to ensure pool cleanliness
• Provide critical first aid and CPR assistance in emergency situations
• Assist guests with pool access, answer questions, and deliver outstanding guest services to elevate their experience
• Conduct regular pool cleaning and chemical checks to meet health standards
• Carry out heavy lifting when necessary for pool equipment maintenance or setup

• Ability to swim confidently and perform water rescues effectively is crucial
• Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid is essential or can be obtained upon hire
• Strong communication skills with a proactive approach to guest service and safety enforcement are a must
• Comfortable performing heavy lifting related to pool equipment or maintenance tasks
• Prior lifeguard experience is preferred, but relevant training will be provided
• Knowledge of pool maintenance, cleaning procedures, and safety protocols is an advantage

• This is a seasonal position but can become full time year round.
